Focused Child Portraits FAQS

1. How do I book a session?
Booking is easy! A £25 deposit secures your slot. The remaining balance is due 7 days before your session. Both payments are non-refundable.
2. Can I get a refund if I cancel?
All payments are non-refundable, as mini sessions are limited and the hall is pre-booked. However, if you can’t attend, your booking may be transferred to another available date at my discretion.
3. What age range do you photograph?
Mini sessions are suitable for babies, toddlers, children, and families. I have lots of experience working with SEND children, so every child’s needs are accommodated.
4. What is a mini session?
Mini sessions are short, focused 15-minute sessions designed to capture natural, relaxed portraits. Each child or family gets a few carefully captured images, with the option to purchase additional images afterwards.
5. How do you work with children?
I have been photographing children and families for over 13 years. Sessions are relaxed and child-led, ensuring a calm environment where children can be themselves.
6. What happens if my child isn’t cooperating?
No worries! My approach is very patient and friendly. I work at your child’s pace, allowing natural moments to happen.
7. Can I see examples of your work?
Absolutely! You can check my facebook page here or instagram here
8. Where do sessions take place?
Sessions are held at the community centre. The hall is pre-booked for your time slot, so please arrive on time to ensure your full 15-minute session.
9. Do I need to bring anything?
Just your child(ren) and any comfort items they may need. Props or outfits are optional — I’ll focus on capturing natural, joyful moments.
10. How do I pay for additional images?
After your mini session, you’ll receive a gallery of images. You can then choose and purchase additional images if you wish.
11.We’ve been before – will it be the same?
Not quite😊 The sessions will still be fun and relaxed, but the style is slightly different. This time I’m keeping things simple — close-ups and waist-up portraits only, fewer backdrop changes and no props.
The focus is purely on your child and their natural expressions.
